I am sure you have heard this Biblical fairy tale, about how Moses when he was parting the red sea to free the Jewish People from Pharaoh. And a little fish got caught in the middle of the sea waters that were splitting, also got split in two. And each half of this little fish became a whole fish, but flat. Hence the name ・ Flatfish. ・ And because it was flat, it was called ・ Moses Soles ・, meaning that Moses used that little fish to walk upon the floors of the parted sea and get to the other side, before closing it back up.
And supposedly because this little fish survived such a spiritual ordeal and instead of dying became transformed into a totally new being, it also acquired some great powers to protect itself from all enemies. And this new power came in the form of a white milky substance called ・ Pardaxin ・, which is capable of paralyzing one and all. And so powerful is this chemical ( Of course it has to be, Godly Powers ) that Doctors are trying as hard as they can to copy it, but still can't. And even Divers who have learned this secret, have been using this gift of a chemical from the flatfish to fight off sharks.
Also people have even learned to eat the flatfish, as there are countless numbers of videos as well as cook books that teach you how to prepare this animal. Also fishermen have been using a replica of the flatfish as lures, as far back as of the 1930s in order to catch bigger fish that wants to try and nibble on the fake fish.

There are a great number of different kinds, as many as 500, of this little animal. And because of it's flattened body, it is best suited for the bottom of the waters. And the body's color is also very unusual, as underneath it is pale but on the top, the fish tries to match whatever the environment it finds itself in.
